“The Wildness”

The camper. The silence. The crash.

During his university years in San Diego, Zan lived alone in a pop-up camper.

He studied marine biology, rode his motorcycle, lifted weights, meal-prepped daily, and lived off the campus gym. Nights ended with meditation by the beach, watching the sun fall into the Pacific. For two years there were no friends, no games, no social life — only solitude.

Then came the crash. A self-inflicted accident shattered his collarbone — and with it, his independence. The gym was gone. Showers became a struggle. He slept in the driver’s seat of his truck. Yet in that darkness, his mind grew sharper, calmer, more unshakable.

Until one day, a friend he had met at the gym offered him a couch. With that simple gift came brotherhood — and the beginning of a new chapter.
